About Us

Millers of Speyside is a privately owned company based in Grantown on Spey. Our location is within the Cairngorm National Park in the Heart of the Scottish Highlands. The Cairngorms was made a National Park in 2003 because it is a unique and special place.

Millers of Speyside's distribution is nationwide to retail and catering butchers, wholesale and manufacturing outlets as well as delivering direct to catering and retail customers. Many of the company's customers are Q Guild Butchers and members of the N.A.C.B. who are supplied with "Millers Aberdeen Angus Beef" "Millers Specially Selected Scotch Beef" and "Millers Beef".

We are currently killing approximately 200 Cattle, 100 Pigs and 150 Sheep in our abattoir on a weekly basis for our own production.

In addition to this, we are also able to undertake Private Kill for Cattle, Pigs and Lamb and we are actively looking to promote this area of our business.

Our Beef is hung and aged on the bone for 21 days before used for our own production. This hanging process allows the enzymes longer to tenderise the meat and it also reduces the moisture content giving concentration to flavour and prevents shrinkage during cooking.

Millers are also members of the Soil Association and therefore we are approved for Organic Private Kill.

Millers of Speyside have been supplying the Award Winning Waterside Inn with our quality meat for a number of years and we are proud of our association with them.

Michelin 3 star chef and owner Michel Roux together with his son Alain work their magic creating lunches and dinners for their clients not to mention ensuring a smooth operation in their establishment.

The Waterside Inn believes that Millers of Speyside Aberdeen Angus products are "always outstanding quality" and in their search have "yet to find better quality Beef".
