Millers was delighted to welcome David Chiffoleau from Quality Meat Scotland (France) last week. David and a team of French Chefs and Journalists were visiting the Highlands of Scotland to find out more about the welfare of the animals through to the processing of the meat.
The visit encompassed not only a tour around the Millers premises and a tasting of Dry Aged Rump and Sirloin Steaks but it also afforded an opportunity for them to visit one of our valued farmers, Mr Bill Cassells at Balnafettach Farm. The visit to the farm was made more useful due to the fact that Bill was able to give his presentation to them in French!
The visit was found to be valuable for all concerned and we have received some very positive feedback. Not only were our French friends impressed with the taste and quality of our Scotch Beef but also they found the visit to the farm an excellent experience.
We feel confident that having returned now to France, they will assist in promoting Scotch Meat throughout their respective areas.
