Millers of Speyside beef was featured at a tasting in Belgium last month at Van Englandt, one of Belgium’s leading meat importers, a company renowned for its quality produce.
Pictured above are from second left Donald Bigger (Chairman, QMS) Ross Finnie (Minister for Rural and Environmental Affairs), holding a Millers of Speyside Fore Rib, Richard Kinchen (Her Majesty’s Ambassador to Belgium) Hugo (Van Englandt) and Denis Taylor (director for Trlade and Investment SDI) who all attended the tasting on the 10th of May.
Millers were quick off the mark with initial exports to Europe leaving the country within days of the lifting of the ban, a feat remarked upon in many newspapers. The company is proud to be making these groundbreaking steps but realise it will not be an easy task. The markets have changed considerably over the last ten years but the company are determined to look forward.
The quality produce has been well received on the continent and repeat orders have been received from all new customers.
