Distribution is far and wide. We not only supply to Wholesale, Retail, Catering and Restaurants within the UK but we also supply further afield. This will be covered later in our EXPORT section.

As you can imagine, supplying customers far and wide can be very challenging. Ensuring that our products are prepared and dispatched on time and reach their destination in good condition takes much planning and organizing but a challenge that we have down to a fine art.

Not only do we use our own transport but we also use third party transport companies that we have developed long-standing relationships with over the years.

In the heart of the beautiful Perthshire countryside lies Dunning. Simon has lived there all his life from a wee boy on the farm to now running his own business. At the age of 12, his father suggested learning butchery. Most of his spare time was spent trying to source the top animals in Scotland to try to get a name for himself as the best butcher with the best Scottish Beef! From one shop to several, and from supplying local restaurants with the best in Scotland, the business has gone from strength to strength. Many of Simon Howie's products can be found on the shelves in the leading Supermarkets around the country. Millers of Speyside supply Simon Howie's businesses with a wide range of products on a weekly basis.

G. McWilliam (Aberdeen) Ltd started trading in 1959 as a retail butcher operating from shops in Aberdeen. In the late 1970’s the company expanded into the catering industry. They supply a large number of leading Hotels and Restaurants, Schools and Hospitals. Their products are always top quality and operate to very high standards and follow stringent quality procedures to ensure product safety and most importantly Customer Satisfaction. They are also certified in accordance with the Global Standard for Food Safety.

We supply a wide range of Beef, lamb and Pork products to McWilliam Butchers on a twice weekly basis.

Ian Jack Butchers, Stranraer

Ian has been dealing with Peter Robertson (Sales Director) and Sandy Milne (Managing Director) for 25 years and this is certainly worth a celebration. This long- standing working relationship is built on loyalty, old-fashioned service and of course, consistent quality of products. When it comes to Beef, Ian only supplies Aberdeen Angus to the Dumfries and Galloway area and this is sourced from Millers of Speyside from cattle from a fairly localised area. With full traceability on all the Beef, this gives customers old and new, reassurance of not only the welfare of the animals but also its provenance.

Duncan Fraser & Son Butchers, Inverness

At Duncan Fraser & Son, the emphasis is very much on top quality local Scottish produce and top quality service. This is a family rum business and one of the longest established in Inverness. They started trading in 1911 and have built a reputation for being second to none for Quality and Service.

This Award Winning Butchers have won a number of National and International Awards. The shop walls are adorned with some of the many Diamond, Gold and Silver Diplomas they have received.

Fraser Brothers, Forres

Forres Millers of Speyside have been supplying Fraser Brothers Ltd, Forres, 3 times a week since December 1986 with a variety of Beef, Lamb and Pork products. A traditional butcher who, by his own admission, "gets his head down and ploughs ahead!"

Ashers Bakery

As it stands, Ashers Bakery is one of the leading retail bakers in the North of Scotland. They are committed to continuing their expansion and improvements in quality & service that were the hallmarks of the founders James Asher & Son way back in 1877.

Millers of Speyside supply Ashers Bakery with substantial quantities of Beef and Pork on a weekly basis. This is used in the making of their Steak Pies and Sausage Rolls. Ashers Bakery has been awarded, Scottish Baker of the Year and Best Family Business Awards.

Browns Food Group

Browns Food Group is one of the UK's leading food manufacturers, supplying retail food service and wholesale markets. The group operates from 7 sites and the entire group boasts a product range that extends well into the thousands.

This Award Winning organisation has won the BPEX Gold Awards for their Freedom Food Honey Roast Ham and their Sage & Onion and Freedom Food Pork Stuffing in the Best Innovative Product section.

Millers of Speyside slaughter Freedom Food Pigs on a weekly basis for the Group and once we cut them into primal joints, these are then dispatched directly to Browns for further processing.

Macbeth's

Macbeth's is a family run Business that provides high quality meat products throughout the UK. In the main, the Beef is provided from their own farm in upland Moray where they rear traditional Scottish native breeds. These are reared in as natural an environment as possible. Millers of Speyside "top up" what they cannot produce themselves. Macbeth's also utilise our Private Slaughter facility on a regular basis. The cattle are slaughtered here, hung and then delivered directly to them for them to carry out their own butchery and packing.

Select

Millers of Speyside have been supplying SELECT with very large quantities of our Beef, Lamb and Pork on a weekly basis since July 2003. This business relationship has gone from strength to strength.

Select was established in 2000 by James George with the help of his dad Keith. James' love of the meat industry and the traditions of cutting began at a very young age when he worked alongside his dad every school holiday on a stall at Smithfield's Market, London. His aim was to cut bespoke orders every day and fresh! This ethos has proved popular and his business has been rapidly growing since then. James has been supplying the top restuarants for the last 14 years and believes, "It's all about the meat. You can dress it up all you want but if the meat isn't perfect, the chef will know and more importantly the customer will know!"

Byron Hamburgers

In addition to this, SELECT also supply the Beef for BYRON HAMBURGERS, which is supplied by Millers of Speyside. With 37 restaurants in London, and a further 14 in England, they too have visited us to get a better appreciation of our operation and to understand better what is involved in producing such Award Winning Hamburgers.

The Byron story is an interesting one....

  • The belief that a Burger should be the ultimate comfort food and so satisfying in its simplicity.
  • Their burgers are minced fresh from good quality beef from Millers of Speyside and cooked so it is juicy and succulent.
  • Placed in a soft squishy bun with minimum fuss and fanfare.
  • Served with a smile in a comfortable environment......and that is it!

Clearly we are getting it right due to the success of the Byron Hamburger outlets and the volume of meat that we supply to them via Select on a weekly basis.

Barbecoa

Jamie Oliver and American chef Adam Perry have drawn on traditional cooking techniques from around the world to create Barbecoa restaurant - a celebration of the relationship between fire and food.

Barbecoa has its own butchers shop next to the restaurant, selling quality British products and that includes the products supplied by Millers of Speyside and all the Beef is slowly dry aged to perfection. Roastings and Sirloins are included in their weekly order. These are carefully selected to their exacting specification.

The Savanna

The Savanna is a thriving, privately owned family business based in London and founded in 2005. With 7 shops and an online ordering service they also have a purpose built butchery and a 3000sq foot warehouse. Their 20 or so, dedicated staff make and sell the best South African and Zim food in the U.K. All their Biltong comes from Millers of Speyside's Aberdeen-Angus Beef Silverside. Matured on the bone, spiced and slow dried for four days to produce a medium - wet tender and tasty Biltong.

Their Original and Chilli Beef Biltong won Gold in the 2014 Great Taste Awards.

Susmans

Everyone at Susmans Best Beef Biltong Co. work together to ensure that their customers always receive the best quality, service and customer care. Larry is the Boss and takes satisfaction seriously. Millers of Speyside supply Susman's weekly with substantial amounts of beef.

Dalziel

The Dalziel group serves the meat processing and retail butchery industry from 12 strategically located distribution sites throughout the U.K. Their reputation as one of the largest meat wholesalers has been built up over half a century, supplying the finest quality chilled and frozen meat from tried and trusted producers. They take tremendous pride in the quality of their meat range and have complete confidence in sourcing their products and Millers of Speyside is one of them. The experience of their teams really makes the difference at Dalziel.

The Pig & Butcher, 80 Liverpool Road, Islington

The Pig & Butcher occupies a handsome pub built in the 1800's on what was fields used by farmers to rest and feed livestock before being sent to Smithfield's Meat Market in London.

They take inspiration from farmhouses across Europe. Food is served simply and with little fuss!

They like the idea of bringing conversation back to the dining table and what better way to do it than sharing food. Think of food as granny used to make.

We supply Loins & Ribs to the Pig & Butcher on a weekly basis.

Ibbitson's, Sunderland, A proud family tradition

Ibbitson's believe that their pork is second to none in the region. Supplied by Millers of Speyside, it is outdoor- reared and the pigs spend most of their lives outside and are free to live a natural life.

Their homemade sausages are made fresh daily from prime cuts of Scottish outdoor reared pork. Offering a wide range of quality cooked meats, including roast pork, beef prepared and cooked fresh daily. Ibbitson's believe passionately in animal rights and are continually trying to source more welfare friendly products.
